ContactMe
What?
ContactMe is an iOS Messages Framework that allows users to send personal and work contact cards in a conversation without ever having to leave the Messages app.
Why?
I was inspired to create ContactMe after being placed into multiple group chats with people I did not know during my Freshman year at Michigan. Typically, everyone sends their name when the group chat is made, and then everyone has to add those names to contacts manually. I found this to be a tedious process that often led to mismatched contacts and misspelled names. What if there was a way to send your contact card without even leaving the conversation in the Messages app? That is why I created ContactMe.
Features:
I realized people might want to send different contacts to different people. If I'm put in a group chat with some people I meet while hanging out with friends I would want to send my name, number and some social media profiles. If I am texting with someone more formal (either one on one or in a group chat) I would want to send a different card with a professional headshot, my LinkedIn and links to my portfolio and Github. This is why ContactMe allows users to store both personal and work contact cards to share in their conversations.
What does it look like and when can I download it?
ContactMe is currently in a very early stage of its development and is not yet available to the public. I am working as fast as I can to work out all the kinks and get this app on the App Store, but I have to manage other projects as well as being a full-time student. Please check back from time to time to see my progress. The app will be available soon!
